A series of 11 sculptural benches were created for a 14 mile stretch of the Sustrans Cyclepath from Cwmbran to Blaenavon in Torfaen, South Wales. They are inspired by the rich Industrial Heritage of the area. The route follows the old Railway and Canal Path, objects carved show; Horse Brasses, a Canal Boat, items of luggage on the overgrown platforms, Coal Drams, Anvil and Swage Block, the Viaduct houses and a Pike Bench. Two local Groups nailed in Designs on to some of the pieces. |
