Dock Community School Eentrance Archway |
| Working
with Year 5 children (and parents) at Pembroke Dock Community
School as part of a
'Springboard' project, we designed, carved and painted an Oak
entrance archway to the new garden at the school. |

We
measured the area, designed the shape of the arch and the images
representing aspects of the new garden area; the allotments, the
musical play area and the storytelling area. |
|

|
Robert
sourced the curved Oak slabs from the sawmill. |
|
|
and
we marked out the designs to start carving.
|
|
|
|

We
used different woodstains to highlight the designs.
|
|
|
|
With
the help of the Pembrokeshire County Council Building Maintainance
Department we installed the Arch. |
